Will Gemma choose for herself for once or will she choose to please her sisters like she has her whole life? But when Gemma meets Charlie she thinks maybe her life might be about to change, however Charlie ends up having an unfortunate connection with the sisters and Gemma is forced to make a choice. Unlike her other sisters Gemma is constantly indecisive and isn’t quite ready to get married or have children. Third triplet Gemma goes through men at an alarming rate and has never settled down with a secure job.

However when a panic attack episodes leaves her shaken Lyn realises that maybe her life isn’t so perfect after all.

Lyn spends most of the novel dealing with the aftermath of her sister’s mistakes and tries to advise in any way she can. Lyn, who is often regarded as the sensible twin, lives happily with her husband, daughter and step-daughter and enjoys meticulously planning her life down to the last detail. Her and Dan attempt to make it work and even attend couple’s counselling but Cat’s perfect life begins to untangle and her hatred for Dan just deepens and deepends. Cat, who was under the impression that her and Dan had a great marriage, is left confused and unsure of what to do next. The story then works its way back up to the incedent, retelling how events in the sister’s lives led to such an explosive fight.īeginning with Cat, the event that sparked what led up to the incedent was Cat’s husband Dan announcing he had cheated on her. The novel begins with an incedent during the triplet’s 34th birthday which results in explosive words and forks being thrown and then a trip to the hospital. The three sisters couldn’t be more different from each other but they have always been extremelly close. Liane Moriarty’s debut novel Three Wishes follows the Kettle triplets- Cat, Lyn and Gemma. I am slowly but surely making my way through author Liane Moriarty’s entire collection (I will post links to her other books at the bottom of the page) and now that I’ve finished Three Wishes I now only have Nine Perfect Strangers left to go- which I am already half way through. Three sisters, one birthday, one little problem.
